* Stage 11 details (approach to Winchester Sports Stadium):
Whilst the earlier stages will be run by adult runners, Junior members are invited to run the stages from St Swithun's School to the track, a distance of approx 5km. There will be 4 “pick up” points.
Juniors are welcome to join in at any of these points but see below for recommended handover points according to age. There will be a WADAC marshal at each changeover, look out for the black and gold balloons.
We hope that as we get closer to the track the numbers of juniors will rise and rise. Parents and other club members may join as well. If possible wear your club vest so we have a mass of black and gold.
Timings and Pick Up Points:
4:45PM -  Year 10 upwards (must be able to run 5Km at reasonable pace) from St Swithun’s school after the baton swims a length of the school pool with members of Winchester City Penguins Swimming Club.
5:00PM -  Year 8 upwards (able to run 3Km): meet in Abbey Gardens opposite King Alfred’s Statue – the symbol of WADAC.
5:05PM -  Year 6 upwards (able to run 2Km): in front of Cathedral near big screen where Winchester has followed the Games.
5:10PM - Year 6 and upwards (able to run 2km) Wolvesely Castle near Pilgrims playing fields where WADAC juniors used to train prior to having the track and onto Palmers Field for a lap where WADAC adults used to train.
5:20PM -  Year 4 and upwards: A lap of Garrison Ground playing fields (adjacent to the track) to hand the baton over at the track for the final lap. Meet just inside the gate next to the mini-roundabout on Bar End Road.

Look out for black and gold balloons to mark the change over locations. Be at change over at least 15 mins before start so you don’t miss out.
The relay will be accompanied by cycle marshals but parents are expected to be responsible for their own children. Please take care at crossings and listen to the cycle marshals.
There will be no parking at the stadium please use Barfield Park and Ride car park.
