Showboaters are winners

Here at tzruns we do love a dose of old-school showboating! So much so that we're positively encouraging runners to jump, skip and smile their way to a prize! Whether your favourite pose is the Lightning Bolt, the Mo-Bot or something from S-Club7's back-catalogue, we want to see you strut your stuff!

Our showboating contest is famous, and it's bigger and better in 2015 :-)

Once again our good friends at 2:09 Events are supporting us and the very best showboater this year will win free entry to the 2016 Kent Roadrunner Marathon, and a complimentary race entry to any 2:09 Events race in the UK. Will also offer runners-up prizes of complimentary race entries to any 2:09 Events race in the UK

NEW for 2015 is our UDDER MADNESS contest, just because we can't help but milk the idea of seeing your best moooooves. The theme is anything cow-related... and the finest bovine impersonators will win their own prizes!! Be imaginative and make us laugh – dress as a cow, a milk-maid, a farmer or whatever cow-related tomfoolery you can dream up! The top-two from the herd will win a very special Udder Madness vest/shirt, custom made just for you. There will be just three of these vest/shirts in the world (the RD reserves the right to strut around in his too!). The garment will be made to your size, in your choice of vest/shirt.

But wait, there's more!! You will also win a complimentary entry to the 2015 Bad Cow Marathons (23/24 August) and an appropriately cow-related prize from Old Dairy Brewery.

What's more... one lucky runner will be the cover star of the printed running magazine, RunABC South (formerly Southern Running Guide). Last year Jenny Cass was our cover star - what we need is happy, smiley, people who love running! No need for any craziness, just happiness!!

The Showboat Zone will be indicated by the above “X marks the spot” signs, with a duct taped X on the ground for optimum photographic capture!! The zone will be clearly marked when it is open – approximately 10:00am-10:40am (so you get a couple of laps to show off!). Once closed the signs will be removed so you know when to stop!! Both the Showboating and Udder Madness contests will be judged on photos only taken during this period.

Participation in the showboating and Udder Madness contests is entirely optional – if you wish to run straight past the photographer ignoring all these antics then you're very welcome to do so… there is no obligation whatsoever to take part and if you're racing hard then you're as welcome as anybody!

We have teamed up with   Stuart March Photography   to offer all runners   FREE professional race photographs at the 2015 Kent Roadrunner Marathon.

Yes, every entrant will receive their race photos free of charge – there are no catches, no hidden extras – we have paid the bill so you don't have to.
